THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(BOLAM LANE, BEMPTON (PART))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any
vehicle to proceed along part of Bolam Lane, Bempton for
approximately 90 metres encompassing the railway bridge.
The reason for the closure is to enable a detailed bridge
inspection on behalf of Network Rail, to be carried out
and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed within one day. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the Order is via Bolam Lane, Bempton
Lane, Buckton Gate, Main Street and High Street. The road
will be open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular
access to properties directly affected by the closure and for
emergency services. The Order will commence 27 June
2023 and continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
Further information can be obtained from Streetscene
Services, Highways Customer Care, tel (01482) 393939.
