(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highway in the County of Northumberland:
A1068 Alnwick Road To Alnmouth Road from its junction from the roundabout heading in a northerly direction for a distance of 1700 metres
A1068 Alnwick Road from its point with Alnwick Road to Alnmouth Road heading in a north westerly direction for a distance of 709 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 26th June 2023 until the 31st October 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 26th June 2023 until the 27th June 2023 and that it will be closed between the hours of 07:30 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st October 2023.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A1068, A1, C111, B6345, A1068 and vice-versa

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
