What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Burrowmoor Road, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/711
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Burrowmoor Road, March as lies between Burrowmoor Farm and A141. The alternative route for vehicles is via A141 – Knights End Road – Cross Road – Burrowmoor Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway patching and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 July 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 January 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 16:15hrs 4 July to 6 July 2023.

Chapnall Road, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/712
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chapnall Road, Wisbech as lies between Sylvden Drive and Chapnall Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Chapnall Road – Burrett Road – Church Road – Kirkgate Street and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 10 July 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 9 January 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 10 July and 31 July 2023.

Cock Bank, Whittlesey (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/713
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cock Bank, Whittlesey as lies between Turves Style Farm and Speechley Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1093 – A605 – March Road, Turves – Burnthouse Road – Cock Bank, Whittlesey and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 July 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 January 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 17:00hrs 3 July and 5 July2023.

Fifty Road (B1093), Manea (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/714
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fifty Road (B1093), Manea as lies between Wisbech Road and the County boarder. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1093 – B1098 – B1101 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation
on 24 July 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 23 January 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 24 July and 1 September 2023.

Market Street, Whittlesey (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/715
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Market Street, Whittlesey as lies between Queen Street and Falcon Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Market Street – B1040 – A605 – B1093 – Eastgate and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate manhole repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 July 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 January 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19:00hrs 5 July and 06:00hrs 6 July 2023.

Ramnoth Road, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/716
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ramnoth Road, Wisbech as lies between Kingswood Park and Mansell Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1101 – Norwich Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate installation of gas pipes and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 31 July 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 30 January 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 31 July and 4 August 2023.

Wisbech Road (A605), Coates (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/779
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Wisbech Road (A605), Coates as lies between March Road (A605) and Duncombes Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via A605 – B1093 – A141– A605 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway patching and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 July 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 January 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs and 05:00hrs 3 July to 7 July 2023.

Elliott Road, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023/787
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Elliott Road, March as lies between Windsor Drive and Richards Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Elliott Road – Peas Hill Road – B1099 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection, carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 July 2023 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 January 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 July and 14 July 2023.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person
acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
