THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(MELTONBY ROAD, MELTONBY (PART))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any
vehicle to proceed along part of Meltonby Road, Meltonby
between the junctions of Meltonby House Farm Access
Road and Northfield House Access Road between the
hours of 08.00 and 17.00.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed BT
telegraph poling works on behalf of BT/Openreach, to be
carried out and completed in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed within
three days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the
Order is via Meltonby Road, The Mile and Miller Lane.
The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and for
vehicular access to properties directly affected by the
closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 27 June 2023 and continue in
force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until
the works which it is proposed to carry out have been
completed, whichever is the earlier.
