Hanway Road - Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Hanway Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.208) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 4th July 2023 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
HANWAY ROAD
From its junction with Seymour Close to Its junction with Arnaud Close.
Duration: 4th July 20-23 to 6th July 2023.
From its junction with Seymour Close and Sultan Road on the northbound carriageway.
Duration: 7th July 2023 to 11th July 2023.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate CityFibre works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 4th July 2023 to 11th July 2023 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place under traffic light control, with manual control between 07:00 - 09:30 and 15:00 - 18:00.
D) DIVERSION
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
