Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as the highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: El Dorado Festival Speed Restriction, Herefordshire, Temporary Speed Restriction Order 2023, to temporarily restrict the speed of vehicles to 30 MPH on the following roads,
i. On the A449, Massington from a point approximately 75 m North East of the junction with the B4218 (374514/240185), extending for approximately 4.4km to the existing 30mph located approximately 125m North East of Ledbury Police Station (371410/237649).
ii. On the A438, Eastnor from the junction with the A449 (274142/238463) to a point approximately 140m south of the property known as 'Westleigh' (374485/236689), a distance of approximately 3.1 km.
The said restriction is required due to slowing of traffic whilst El Dorado Festival is in progress and the likelihood of danger to the public while traffic volumes are increased. The said restriction will come into force on 6th July 2023 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 6 days.
