What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS TERRY ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Terry Road between its junctions with Northfield Road and Irving Road.

The Order will come into effect from 08.00 hours on Wednesday 28th June 2023 and is required for manhole cover and frame repair works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 18:00 on Wednesday 28th June 2023.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works local vehicular access to Terry Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS ORWELL ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Orwell Road for the entire length from its junction from Terry Road to its junction with Severn Road.

The Order will come into effect from 07.00 hours on Monday 26th June 2023 and is required for main connections works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 06:00 on Friday 14th July 2023.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works

(d) local vehicular access to Orwell Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS CITY OF COVENTRY (ARMED FORCES PARADE) ORDER 2023

Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has made a temporary Order to enable the Armed Forces Parade (“the Event”) to take place safely.

The Order will be in effect from 09:30 hours until 12:00 hours on Saturday 24th June 2023.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all vehicles from:-

(i) entering or proceeding along the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule below and/or
(ii) waiting, loading/unloading, or proceeding on the roads or lengths of roads listed in the Schedule below
(iii) Parking in the disabled bays within Cuckoo Lane
(iv) To such extent and at such time as indicated by event marshals and prescribed traffic signs on site

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site. Any person requiring further information in connection with this order should contact Coventry City Council Traffic Management on 07903 803505.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Exemptions to the Order will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or an accredited event marshal;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles when necessary at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the Event displaying the relevant photographic identification.

The Schedule
BAYLEY LANE (St Marys Street and Hay Lane), HAY LANE (entire length), PEPPER LANE (entire length), CUCKOO LANE (entire length)

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS BISHOP STREET, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Bishop Street in both directions between its junctions with Ring Road A4053 to its junction with Lamb Street.

The Order would come into effect from 08.00 hours on Monday 3rd July 2023 and is required for gas main replacement works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 18:00 on Friday 14th July 2023

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works

(d) local vehicular access to Bishop Street.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS BOLINGBROKE ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Bolingbroke Road between its junctions with Humber Road and Stoke Green.

The Order would come into effect from 08.00 hours on Friday 30th June 2023 and is required for manhole cover and frame repair works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 18:00 on Friday 30th June 2023

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Churchill Avenue from its junction with Victory Road to its junction with Mansel Street.

The Order would come into effect from 08.00 hours on Friday 30th June 2023 and is required for manhole cover and frame repair works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 18:00 on Friday 30th June 2023

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

CITY OF COVENTRY (GODIVA FESTIVAL 2023)

Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intends to make a temporary Order to enable safe pedestrian access and egress at the War Memorial Park for members of the public attending the Godiva Festival 2023 (“the Event”). The Order would take effect from 15:00 hours on Friday 30th June 2023 and be valid until 20:30 hours on Sunday 2nd July 2023.

The effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading, or unloading, entering or proceeding:

(a) Northbound carriageway of Leamington Road between its junctions with Daventry Road and Warwick Road

(b) Coat of Arms Bridge Road between its junctions with Kenilworth Road and Stivichall Croft

(c) Stivichall Croft between its junctions with Coat of Arms Bridge Road and Amorial Road

(d) Leamington Road between its junctions with Daventry Road and Warwick Road at such times and to such extent when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed.
