GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATHS

Gloucestershire County Council  Temporary Closure Of Public Footpaths Dlh96, Dbl50, Dbl29A,Dbl49,Dbl32 And Dbl34 (Blaisdon And Longhope  Parish) Forest Of Dean District 
Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) Public Footpaths DLH96, DBL50, DBL29A, DBL49, DBL32 and DBL34 as detailed in the schedule below. 
SCHEDULE 
Public Footpath DBL34 at its junction with Public Footpath DHL93 extending in a generally Southerly direction for approximately 1000 metres to its junction with DBL50.  Public Footpath DBL32 from its junction with DBL50 extending in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 660 metres to its junction with DBL29A and then continuing for approximately a further 250 metres to its junction with DBL29 Part Public Footpath DLH96 from its junction with DHL85 and DHL93 extending in a generally southerly direction for approximately 275 metres then continuing along Public Footpath DBL49 for approximately 520 metres and continuing in a Southerly direction along Public Footpath DBL 29A for approximately 350 metres and continuing along Public Footpath DBL50 for approximately 390 metres.  The paths fall within the Parishes of Blaisdon and Longhope in the  Forest of Dean District, Gloucestershire. The closure is necessary to protect the public while essential tree works are carried out.  The Order will be in force between the 10th July 2023 and 2nd October 2023 or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner. After this date, if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.  Alternative route: as signed on Order Plan. Pedestrian access to adjoining properties and emergency access will be maintained for the duration of the works.
