Temporary Road Closure Order no. 2 2023
South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Hamilton Road, Cambuslang, Temporary Road Closure Order no. 2 2023” and shall come into operation between 8:00am on 17 July 2023 until 6:00pm 23 July 2023. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Whilst this order remains in force no person shall park, drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the sections of roads specified in Schedule 1 except emergency vehicles and vehicles associated with the road improvement works.
Schedule 1 – Temporary Road Closure
From the junction of New Road to the junction of Hallside Boulevard.
Alternative Route
Glasgow Road, Main Street, Mill Street, Fernhill Road, Cathkin Bypass, East Kilbride Road, A749 Glasgow Road, Kingsway, East Kilbride Expressway, B7012 Hamilton Road, Hunthill Road, Bardykes Road, Glasgow Road and vice versa.
