Shropshire - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions To Allow Necessary Works To Be Undertaken

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S –
PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING

NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“The Council”) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as
amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below.
There are exemptions in the Order/ s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to
any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary
works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for
those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below. The Order/s came into force on 19th June 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction
of the Secretary of State) or until any said works are completed, whichever is
earlier. However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Benyon Street, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 19th June 2023 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, short comm
pipe renew.
Alternative Route: North Street, New Park Road, Castle Foregate, Howard Street, Victoria Street

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Chester Road, Whitchurch
Date & Duration: 25th June 2023 between 09:30 and 15:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace manhole and cover
Alternative Route: A41, B5476

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Enchmarsh and Acton Burnell
Date & Duration: 20th June 2023 between 09:30 and 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, traffic management required to enable engineers to complete underground cabling repair works. .
Alternative Route: Unnamed road North towards Acton Burnell,
Unnamed road West, Frodesley Lane, Unnamed road South East

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road outside Mainstone Village Hall, Mainstone
Date & Duration: 23rd June 2023 for 1 day between 09:30 and 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach Replace 2 x decayed poles
Alternative Route: Unnamed road South East towards Cefn Einion, Unnamed road North, Unnamed road West, Unnamed road South West towards Mainstone

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A488 Bridge Street, Clun
Date & Duration: 21st June 2023 for 3 days between 09:30 and 16:00
Purpose: Bridge Repair works to include:- Take down & Rebuild noted 1.2m long x 0.85m high section of parapet at upstream left. Reset 3.5m length
of displaced copings above left arch upstream side
Alternative Route: A488, A4113, B4385, B4368

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Barley Bank, Westbury
Date & Duration: 19th June 2023 for 3 days
Purpose: Carriageway repairs
Alternative Route: B4387, B4386, Unnamed road South East

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road at Nuttree Bridge, Llanyblodwell
Date & Duration: 19th June 2023 for 23 days between 09:30 and 16:00
Purpose: Bridge repairs
Alternative Route: Unnamed road North East towards Nant Y Caws, B5067, A483, A495

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Sandy Lane, Hinstock
Date & Duration: 19th June 2023 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Air valve Renew
Alternative Route: A529, Unnamed road North East, Sandy Lane

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Wheathall and Little Ryton
Date & Duration: 20th June 2023 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, boundary box Install.
Alternative Route: Unnamed road North and North West, Unnamed road South through Great Ryton, Unnamed road East through Little Ryton, Unnamed road North and North East

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Wrexham Road, WhitchurchDate & Duration: 21st June 2023 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Large Sluice Valve Renew 180mm
Alternative Route : Wrexham Road, Chemistry, Smallbrook Road, Sherrymill Hill, Newtown, Castle Hill, Watergate Street, Dodington, Rosemary Lane, Highgate

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using

Unnamed road North West of Ratlinghope towards Bridges
Date & Duration: 19th June 2023 for 184 days
Purpose: Road Closure due to unsafe carriageway
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South West towards Bridges, Unnamed road East, Unnamed road North East to Ratlinghope
