What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL

(RICHMOND ROAD, ST. GEORGE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:

1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Richmond Road which extends from the common boundary line between No. 8 and No. 9 Richmond Road to the common boundary line between No. 16 and No.17 Richmond Road; and

2. to suspend, temporarily, the existing one way traffic working in a southerly direction in Richmond Road so as to give effect to the alternative route as a consequence of item 1 above.

The Order is required because water mains lead replacement works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 26th June 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 26th June 2023 and 28th June 2023).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Richmond Road (part unaffected), Church Road, Beaconsfield Road, Beaufort Road, Richmond Road

(AVON STREET AND NEW KINGSLEY ROAD, ST. PHILIPS, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.

The Order is required because gas main upgrade works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and will be operative from 26th June 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 26th June 2023 and 24th November 2023 and will be 2-3 months’ duration for each phase).

Phase 1: (a) Providence Place, Old Bread Street, New Kingsley Road (part unaffected), Horton Street, Midland Road, Kingsland Road Bridge, Kingsland Road, Oxford Street and vice versa

(b) Old Bread Street, Providence Place, Avon Street and vice versa

Phase 2: northbound: Feeder Road, Netham Road, Pile Marsh, Avondale Road, Queen Ann Road, Barton Hill Road, Barrow Road, Days Road, Kingsland Road, Oxford Street 
southbound: Oxford Street, Kingsland Road, Days Road, Barrow Road, Barton Hill Road, Queen Ann Road, Avonvale Road, Pile Marsh, Blackswarth Road, Fireclay Road, Netham, Feeder Road

(KINGSLAND ROAD, ST. PHILIPS, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Kingsland Road which extends from Days Road to Silverthorne Lane.

The Order is required because railway bridge inspection works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 1st July 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 1st July 2023 and 19th July 2023).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Days Road, St. Philips Causeway, Albert Road, Feeder Road, Avon Street, Silverthorne Lane and vice versa
