What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.90 (PART) RIPLEY

WHEN: 24th June 2023 to 22nd December 2023. WHERE: Close public footpath No.90 (Part) Ripley between the junction with Abbey Crescent and Belfry Way to the junction with public footpath No.55 (The Ropewalk).
REASON: To facilitate construction traffic and works. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The alternative route from Deanery Close; Use the path linking northward to Priory Walk – travel northwards onto Bishops Close onto Peasehill Road – Turn right onto Ripley footpath No.55 or continue for 125 metres to footpath No.127 (Ripley Greenway) and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
