Kendal, Temporary Prohibition To Pedestrians Due To Construction Work
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (BRIDLEWAY NO. 536261 IN THE PARISH OF KENDAL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS, HORSES AND CYCLISTS) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable the Environment Agency to carry out the construction of flood walls and pumping station for Stock Beck Culvert ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians, horses, and cyclists from proceeding along an approx 242m section of Bridleway No. 536261 in the Parish of Kendal between Grid References: 351889, 492733 and 351931,492958.
A suitable alternative route for pedestrians, horses and cyclists will be available via Thorny Hills, Castle Crescent, and Castle Street.

The Order will come into operation on 19 June 2023 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
