SUMMER LANE, WOMBWELL
TEMPORARY ONE-WAY RESTRICTION
An order has been made to introduce a one-way restriction on Summer Lane, prohibiting traffic from travelling for a distance of 60 metres in an easterly direction from the junctions of Main Street/Copeland Road, from 7 June 2023 for approximately one day.
Reason: Telecom service upgrade.
An alternative route is available via: Copeland Road/Hough Lane.

WINDHILL DRIVE/WINDHILL CRESCENT, STAINCROSS
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
An order has been made to close the below roads from 5th June 2023 for approximately 3 days. Only one road will be closed at a time within this period.
· Windhill Drive, Staincross – Temporary Road closure from outside No.22 to Windhill Crescent. An alternative route is available via Windhill Drive, Windhill Lane, Windhill Mount.
· Windhill Avenue, Staincross – Temporary Road closure from outside No.12 to Windhill Mount.
Reason: Installation of telegraph poles.

BARNSLEY ROAD, BRIERLEY
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order will be made to close Barnsley Road from Frickley Bridge Lane to Brierley Roundabout, on 11th June 2023 for approximately one Sunday only.
Reason: Surface dressing.
An alternative route is available via: Barnsley Road A628, South Moor Road, Moor Lane, Rotherham Road, Park Springs Road, Collier Road, Brierley Road.

WOMBWELL FOOTPATH NOS. 43 & 53
TEMPORARY CLOSURE
The Secretary of State has authorised a further extension of the above named Order to close Wombwell footpath no. 43 from Lundhill Road to Elsecar Canal towpath and no. 53 where it passes under the canal footbridge for up to a further 6 months until the 30th of November 2023.
REASON: Collapsed footbridge. Replacement works are now scheduled to start week beginning 3rd July 2023

An order will be made to close Edward Road from the junctions of Highgate Lane to George Street and Highgate Lane Back Road, from 12 June 2023 for approximately two weeks

An order will be made to close Gunthwaite Lane from Coach Gate Lane to railway bridge, from 12th June 2023 for approximately 2 weeks, between 08:00 and 17:00.
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing
An alternative route is available via: Denby Lane, Falledge Lane, Huddersfield Road, Carr Lane, Broad Oak Lane, Coach Gate Lane.
