Allenfords To Carter Bar, Temporary Speed Restrictions Due To Carriageway Repair Works
What is happening?
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) A68 ALLENFORDS TO CARTER BAR (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the speed by vehicular traffic from 60 MPH down to 10 MPH on that section of the A68 from Allenfords to Carter Bar for its entire length in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th June 2023 until the 12th June 2024. It is expected that the road will be restricted at all times whilst there is a convoy system in operation during this period.

The restriction has been requested by Northumberland County Council for carriageway repairs under a convoy system.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
