Sturminster Newton, Temporary Road Closure Due To Residentual Housing Development
What is happening?
Temporary Closure of N53/12 & N53/10, Sturminster Newton
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Public Rights of Way N53/12, Sturminster Newton between grid reference ST7902414257 & grid reference ST7910514127 an overall distance (160m) and N53/10, Sturminster Newton between grid reference ST7933314342 & grid reference ST7910714130 an overall distance of (370m). The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 8th May 2023 for a period of 26 weeks, but it may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This Notice is required due to health and safety reasons whilst a residential housing development is constructed.
