What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

CARPENTERS LANE, HADLOW. TN11 0EY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2023
To allow asset maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Carpenters Lane, Hadlow, on or after 15th June 2023, for up to 8 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Costens, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Carpenters Lane, Common Road and vice versa.

CLAYGATE LANE, SHIPBOURNE. TN11 9RL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2023
To allow excavation works to be carried out in the verge and carriageway, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Claygate Lane, Shipbourne, on or after 12th June 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Orchard, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Reeds Lane, Hamptons Road, Puttenden Road and vice versa.

FROG LANE, WEST MALLING. ME19 6LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2023
To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Frog Lane, West Malling, on or after 30th May 2023, for up to 1 day, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Swan Street to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure due to the road being a dead end, however, residential access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

HIGH STREET, FORSTAL ROAD & ROCHESTER ROAD, AYLESFORD. ME20 7BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2023
To allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Street, Forstal Road and Rochester Road, Aylesford, on or after 14th June 2023, between the hours of 19.00 and 05.00, with estimated completion by 22nd June 2023, or until the works have been completed.

High Street & Forstal Road will be closed from outside Friars to the junction with Forstal Road (outside the Aylesford Community Centre), to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. Rochester Road will be closed between the junctions with High Street and Pratling Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bull Lane, Pilgrims Way, Rochester Road, Pratling Street, Beddow Way, Forstal Road and vice versa.

ROCHESTER ROAD, WOULDHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2023
To allow street sign replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Rochester Road, Wouldham, on or after 30th May 2023 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Knowle Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way, Burham Road, Wouldham Road, Rochester Road, High Street, Knowle Road and vice versa.

STATION ROAD, BOROUGH GREEN. TN15 8EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2023
To allow duct blockage repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Station Road, Borough Green, on or after 12th June 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 29, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The One-Way Order on Station Road will be temporarily suspended, to allow for two-way access.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, A25 Maidstone Road, Station Road and vice versa.
