Woodfield Park Drive, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To BT Pole Replacement

SOUTHEND-ON-SEA CITY COUNCIL

(WOODFIELD PARK DRIVE, LEIGH-ON-SEA) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC, PARKING, WAITING, LOADING & UNLOADING) ORDER 2022 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1)

Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The Effect of the order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:

1. Proceeding on Woodfield Park Drive from its junction with London Road to its junction with Leigh Road.

2. Parking, waiting, loading & unloading on Woodfield Park Drive outside & opposite properties No. 65-75.

The closure and suspensions are scheduled to commence from 09:30 until 15:30 on the 25th of May 2023, or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The alternative route will be via Leigh Road, Dundonald Drive, London Road & vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on the 25th of May 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The closure and suspensions are required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst a BT pole replacement takes place.

Access for emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.

The prohibitions or restrictions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the TRAFFIC SIGNS REGULATIONS AND GENERAL DIRECTIONS

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction/prohibition imposed by this Notice may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice and removed under the provisions of the

Traffic Management Act 2004.
