Marshwood, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Works
What is happening?
Temporary Closure of B3165, Marshwood
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3165, MARSHWOOD between its junction with Wellfield Hill and Foxdown Farm, a distance of approximately 1000 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 22 May 2023 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 02 June 2023.
The closure will be in operation between;
0930 and 1430 from 22 May 2023 until 26 May 2023
0930 and 1700 from 29 May 2023 until 02 June 2023
This Order will enable National Grid, safe access to carry out pole changes for a reinforcement scheme.
An alternative route will be signed using; A35 - A358 - B3162.
