ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 

DONCASTER ROAD (EASTBOUND), ARDSLEY
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close Doncaster Road (Eastbound) from Old Doncaster Road to No.774, from 22nd May 2023 for approximately 2 weeks, between 20:00 and 06:00 only.
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing.
An alternative route is available via: Grange Lane, Pontefract Road, Cudworth Parkway, Engine Lane, Park Springs Road, Rotherham Road, Doncaster Road, Saltersbrook Road, Doncaster Road.

KENDRAY STREET/SCHWABISCH GMUND WAY, BARNSLEY
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close Kendray Street (from Schwabisch Gmund Way to Harborough Hill Road) and Schwabisch Gmund Way (from Kendray Street to Barnsley Interchange entrance), from 20 to 21 May 2023 and again from 27 to 28 May 2023. The roads will be closed to both vehicular traffic and pedestrians for the duration of the works.
Reason: Installation of new bridge deck.

TOWNGATE, THURLSTONE
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order will be made to close Towngate from New Smithy Avenue to Royd Moor Road, from 29th May 2023 for approximately 5 days.
Reason: Installation of new LV electric supply.
An alternative route is available via: Manchester Road, Thurlstone Road, Barnsley Road, Huddersfield Road, Old Anna Lane, Work Bank Lane, Matthew Gap, Ingbirchworth Road.

CHURCH STREET, DARTON
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order will be made to close Church Street from Mill Lane to Barnsley Road, from 27 May 2023 for approximately one week. Closure will be intermittent and not continuous.
Reason: Installation of fibre network.
An alternative route is available via: Station Road- Darton Lane- Towngate- Blacker Road- Bar Lane- Wakefield Road- Old Mill Lane- Church Street- Church Lane-Huddersfield Road- Wilthorpe Road-Claycliffe Road- Barnsley Road.

SWALLOW HILL ROAD, LOW BARUGH
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order will be made to close Swallow Hill Road, for a distance of 170 metres either side of house number 105, from 31 May 2023 for approximately one day.
Reason: Repairs to water service.
An alternative route is available via: Spark Lane/Blacker Road/Mapplewell Drive/Carr Green Lane.

TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION
An order will be made to introduce a 30 mph speed restriction on Wood Royd Hill Lane, from Lower Maythorn Lane to Whams Road, from 29 May 2023 for approximately one week.
Reason: Install new electric service.

HOYLAND NON-DEFINITIVE FOOTPATH OVER ELSECAR DAM
TEMPORARY CLOSURE
An order has been made to close the non-definitive footpath across the Elsecar dam wall from Wentworth Road to the North bank of the reservoir on the 22 April 2023 for up to 1 month.
Reason: Vegetation management in line with reservoir inspection requirements. These are expected to take 1 day and scheduled for week beginning 22 May 2023 but are weather dependant.

WORSBROUGH FOOTPATH NO. 6 AND PERMISSIVE FOOTPATHS
TEMPORARY CLOSURE

An order has been made to close Worsbrough footpath no. 6 and permissive routes between Worsbrough Mill south to the A61 Sheffield Road, and west along the reservoir bank from the 22 May 2023 for up to 6 months.
Reason: Rebuilding works to the banks of Worsbrough Reservoir.
