Brierlow Road - Temporary Road Closure And Temporary 30mph Speed Limit
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
AND TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT
BRIERLOW ROAD, BUXTON
WHEN: 2nd June 2023 to 9th June 2023 (between 18:00 to 06:00 each night)
WHERE: TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE: Brierlow Road, Buxton at its junction with B5053.
TEMPORARY 30.M.P.H SPEED LIMIT: 250 metres either side of A515 and B5053 junction.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing on B5053 junction with A515 under traffic lights.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
HGV's use: Burlow Road, Grinlow Road, A53, A515.
Light Traffic use: Burlow Road, Heathfield Nook Road, A515.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
