What is happening?

BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON

THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH HORWICH 119 AND BLACKROD 013) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO.B4) ORDER 2022 - NOTICE OF EXTENSION

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State has approved the continuing in force of the above mentioned Order until the 4th January 2024, or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.

The Order is necessary as works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the highway/ there is a likely danger to the public. The reason for the extension is due to continuation of tree clearance, major earth works, ground remediation and HV electric diversion works to facilitate development.

An alternative route is not available.
