U9503 MADDISON STREET / U9503 GATACRE STREET BLYTH
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intend to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highway in Blyth in the County of Northumberland.
Road closure:
U9503 Maddison Street from its junction with Keelmans Terrace heading west for a distance of 101 metres.
U9503 Gatacre Street from its junction with Wright Street heading south for a distance of 80 metres.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Wright Street and Keelmans Terrace.
It is expected that the road closure will be in place from the 5th June 2023 until the 9th June 2023 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00. The Order however will remain in place until the 30th November 2023.
The effect of this Order will hereby further introduce parking restrictions on the following lengths of highway in Blyth in the County of Northumberland:-
Parking Restrictions:
U9503 Maddison Street from its junction with Keelmans Terrace heading west on the north and south carriageway for a distance of 101 metres.
U9503 Gatacre Street from its junction with Wright Street heading south on the east and west carriageway for a distance of 80 metres.
It is expected that the parking restrictions will be in place from the 5th June 2023 until the 9th June 2023 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00. The Order however will remain in place until the 30th November 2023.
The Order is to be effective from the 5th June 2023 until the 30th November 2023.

The closure and parking restrictions have been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out carriageway re-surfacing works.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
