Haymarket One-Way Roads - Temporary Restrictions
What is happening?
THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(HAYMARKET ONE-WAY ROADS) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2023 – TEMP/23/114
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate public realm works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit any motor vehicle to be driven on: (i) Glencairn Cres, otherwise than in a westbound direction; (ii) Eglinton Cres, otherwise than in an eastbound direction; (iii) Lansdowne Cres, otherwise than in a westbound direction; & (iv) Grosvenor Cres, otherwise than in an eastbound direction; & (b) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on the road described in column 1 of Sch 1 so as to make the prohibited turn specified in column 2 of Sch 1, into the road specified in column 3 of Sch 1. The Order shall have effect from 8/5/23 to 8/11/23. The alternative routes for vehicular traffic are via: (i) Glencairn Cres – Eglinton Cres; (ii) Eglinton Cres – Glencairn Cres; (iii) Lansdowne Cres – Grosvenor Cres; & (iv) Grosvenor Cres – Lansdowne Cres. The alternative route for vehicular traffic with respect to the prohibited turn is via Lansdowne Cres, Grosvenor Cres & Palmerston Pl.
