What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF STOPPING
(24 HOUR RURAL CLEARWAY) EXTENSION
RESERVOIR ROAD, WHALEY BRIDGE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 17 January 2022 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to remove parked vehicles from Reservoir Road, from its junction with Whaley Lane, in a south westerly direction for a distance of 640 metres, has been extended.
The restriction will be in force until 1 December 2024, or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner to facilitate a safe passage of abnormal load movements, associated with construction works at Toddbrook Reservoir (accessed off Reservoir Road).
The full duration of this Order will be in excess of the prescribed 18 month limit stipulated under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended). However, as per the exceptions provided in Section 15 of the Act, Derbyshire County Council is satisfied that the scale and significance of these works are such that the execution of them will take longer. In any case, this Order shall be revoked as soon as the works are completed.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during the duration of the temporary restriction. Any member of the public requiring further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
Chris Henning, Executive Director – Place Department, County Hall, MATLOCK DE4 3AG
