What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(CANON STREET) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2023 – TEMP/23/82

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate a safe working area for property development works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on Canon St, both sides, from Eyre Pl to Canon Lane. The Order shall have effect from 17/4/23 to 16/10/24. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via Eyre Pl, Brandon St & Huntly St. The following restriction will be suspended: one-way on Canon St, to facilitate resident access/egress. Existing restrictions may be suspended on the affected section of road described in (b).
