What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL
OXFORD STREET (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:- Oxford Street outside and opposite the Electricity Sub Station, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during new cable connection works.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 17th April 2023, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 5 working days between 8am to 6pm.
