Broom area, Rotherham - temporary prohibition of through traffic

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

BROOM TERRACE BROOM
BROOM GROVE BROOM
TREHERNE ROAD BROOM
FRASER ROAD BROOM VALLEY AND
BOSWELL ROAD CLIFTON ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of
which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the six parts of road specified in
the Schedule to this Notice. The prohibition from proceeding along the part of A6021
Broom Road will be from Monday 20th. March until Friday 15th. December 2023. The
prohibition from proceeding along the parts of Broom Terrace, Broom Grove, Treherne
Road, Fraser Road and Boswell Road will be for periods of time between Monday 20th.
March until Friday 15th. December 2023.
The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be
executed on or near the six parts of road (Major road works).
Schedule
(i) A6021 Broom Road Bus Lane from the north western kerb line of Treherne
Road for a distance for a distance of 170m in a north westerly direction (the
alternative route is via local neighbouring streets).
(ii) Broom Terrace at its junction with A6021 Broom Road (there is no alternative
route, the road is cul de sacs, limited access only).
(iii) Broom Grove at its junction with A6021 Broom Road (there is no alternative
route, the road is cul de sacs, limited access only).
(iv) Treherne Road at its junction with A6021 Broom Road (the alternative route is
via local neighbouring streets).
(v) Fraser Road at its junction with A6021 Broom Road (the alternative route is
via local neighbouring streets).
(vi) Boswell Road at its junction with A6021 Broom Road (the alternative route is
via local neighbouring streets).
