The Barnet (20mph Speed Limit) (No. **) Traffic Order 20** The Barnet (Prescribed Route) (No. *) Traffic Order 20** Highways Act 1980 - Section 90

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Order under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 84 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

As part of a variety of measures proposed to address vehicular conflicts, concerns about speeding, and improve traffic flow and general road safety in the area of Akiva School, the general effect of the Orders would be to:

1. Prohibit motorists from entering Rosemary Avenue N3 from its junction with Dudley Road N3.

2. Introduce a maximum speed limit of 20mph in the following roads/ section of roads:

* Manor View N3 - between its junctions with Squires Lane and East End Road.

* East End Road N3 - between the rear of No. 5 Pavillion Mews and opposite Nos. 112 and 114 East End Road

3. Provide additional 20 minute max stay parking bays operational Monday to Friday 8am to 9am and 3pm to 4pm on both sides of East End Road N3 between Nos. 112/114 and No.98

4. Provide 'at any time' waiting restrictions on certain lengths of East End Road N3, and around the junctions of Rosemary Avenue, Station Road and Squires Lane N3, and Briarfield Avenue and Manor View N3.

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Barnet in exercise of powers conferred by Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 proposes to introduce a number of road humps on street as specified in the schedule to this notice.

A copy of the proposed Orders, associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing traffic.consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 6th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW. Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number BC/002250-30-SCR515, to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, or via email to traffic.consultations@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
