The Gwynedd Council (Closure Of The Unclassified Road Known As Penpaled Road, Criccieth) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2023
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Gwynedd Council intend not less than seven days from the date hereof to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed in either direction along that length of Unclassified Road known as Penpaled Road, Criccieth from a point by its junction with Beachbank north-westerly up to its junction with Wellington Terrace.
The Order is necessary on health and safety grounds to the public during works to place a new underground gas pipe on behalf of Wales & West Utilities.
The alternative route, starting at the westernmost point of the closure, is to travel in a southerly direction on Wellington Terrace and turn left at the junction with Castle Road to travel on Lôn Felin up to the closure and vice versa for vehicles travelling in the opposite direction. Access will be granted to residents.
The Order comes into effect on the 15th of May, 2023 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the work which it is proposed to carry out on the road is completed, whichever is the earlier. At this stage it is anticipated that the work will be completed within approximately 5 days.
