What is happening?

FOOTPATH NOS. 536008 IN THE PARISH OF KENDAL AND
FOOTPATH NOS. 574007 AND 574027 IN THE PARISH OF STRICKLAND KETEL
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS
ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Cumbria County Council on 21 September 2021, which became operative on 1 October 2021, to enable Russell Armer to carry out works in connection with the new housing development at Laurel Gardens ("the Works") and which would otherwise expire on 1 April 2023
has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 1 April 2024.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the following lengths of Footpath:
1. An approx. 300 metre length of Public Footpath No. 536008 in the Parish of Kendal from Grid Reference: 351281 494675 to Grid Reference: 351148 494416;
2. An approx. 6 metre section of Public Footpath No. 574007 in the Parish of Strickland Ketel from Grid Reference: 350880 494473 to Grid Reference: 350883 494468; and
3. An approx. 410 metre section of Public Footpath No. 574027 in the Parish of Strickland Ketel from Grid Reference: 351243 494643 to Grid Reference: 350877 494467.
There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians.
