What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
Clifton Road, Gravesend. DA11 0BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow a temporary construction compound for the Bath Street Contraflow Bus Lane Scheme, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clifton Road, Gravesend, on or after 14th March 2023 for up to 252 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between B256 Stuart Road and the Hospital Car Park entrance.
The alternative route is via Clifton Road, B256 Stuart Road/West Street, A226 Bath Street and vice versa.
Hawkins Avenue, Gravesend. DA12 5JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hawkins Avenue, Gravesend, on or after 13th March 2023 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 9.
The alternative route is via Hawkins Avenue, Christianfields Avenue, Ash Road, Cedar Avenue and vice versa.
Lower Higham Road, Gravesend. DA12 2NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Higham Road, Gravesend, on or after 13th March 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 240.
The alternative route is via Lower Higham Road, Lions roundabout, A226 Rochester Road, A226 Gravesend Road, Wainscott Northern Bypass, Higham, A289 Hasted Road, B2000 Lower Rochester Road, Chequers Street, Chalk Road, Lower Road, Lower Higham Road and vice versa.
Northfleet Green, Northfleet DA13 9PW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northfleet Green, Northfleet, on or after 15th March 2023 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Elm Cottage and Landway House.
The alternative route is via Northfleet Green, Downs Road, Broad Ditch Road, New Barn Road and vice versa.
Round Street, Cobham DA13 9AY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Round Street, Cobham, on or after 13th March 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 2 Eden Villas.
The alternative route is via Round Street, From Junction With Copt Hall Road To Junction With Henhurst Road, Copthall Road, White Post Lane and vice versa.
Whitepost Lane, Meopham DA13 0TJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whitepost Lane, Meopham, on or after 13th March 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Mi Casa.
The alternative route is via Whitepost Lane, Newlands Lane, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.
