Nicker Hill - Temporary Prohibition to Enable Works to Be Carried Out

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(NICKER HILL, KEYWORTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2023 (R23-044)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Keyworth in the Borough of Rushcliffe.

The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.
a. Nicker Hill, Keyworth - From its junction with Station Road to its junction with Wolds Drive.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (Both sides, at any time) in the following length of road

a. Platt Lane, Keyworth - From its junction with Nicker Hill for its entire length.
b. Station Road, Plumtree - From its junction with Bradmore Lane to its junction with Station Road, Keyworth.
c. Station Road, Keyworth - From its junction with Station Road, Plumtree to its junction with Nicker Hill.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from making the following manoeuvre at Keyworth.
a. Platt Lane, Keyworth - No right turns out of Platt Lane into A606 Melton Road, Keyworth.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 08:00 hours on Monday 20th March 2023 Until 17:00 hours on Monday 24th April 2023 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

Normanton Lane - Nottingham Road - Selby Lane - Willow Brook and Vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 20th March 2023 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out works including and relating to a water main renewal scheme.
