LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY
The Bromley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 2003 (Amendment No. ***) Order 202*.
The Bromley (Controlled Parking) (On Street Places) Order 2004 (Amendment No. ***) Order 202*. (Acacia Road, Croydon Road, Gowland Place, Yewtree Close, Beckenham)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers, and introduce footway parking places under section 15 of the GLC General Powers Act 1974.

The effect of the Orders would be to:-

(a) introduce/extend waiting restrictions as set out in the Schedule to this Notice;

(b) extend the boundary of the existing Zone Z3 Controlled Parking Zone into the Yew Tree Road area of Beckenham into Acacia Road, Gowland Place, Yew Tree Road and Croydon Road between Acacia Road and Gowland Place, operating 10.00am to noon on Mondays to Fridays inclusive. The properties that would be eligible for the issue of parking permits are set in the Schedule to this Notice;

(c) introduce resident permit holder only parking places into lengths of Acacia Road, Gowland Place and Yew Tree Road operating at zone hours as set out in the Schedule to this Notice;

(d) introduce pay by phone parking places into lengths of Acacia Road, Gowland Place and Yew Tree Road operating at zone hours as set out in the Schedule to this Notice. Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Orders.

A copy of the proposed Orders, of the plan of the scheme and of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, Kent.

ANY person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH, quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/737 not later than 15th March 2023.

Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to

public inspection.

SCHEDULE:-

WAITING RESTRICTIONS
No Waiting At Any Time*-

ACACIA ROAD, Beckenham, (a) both sides, from the north western extremity of Acacia Road south eastwards for a distance of 6.5m; (b) the north west side, its whole length;

GOWLAND PLACE, Beckenham, (a) the north east side, from the north western extremity of Gowland Place south eastwards for a distance of 6.7m; (b) the south west side, from the north western extremity of Gowland Place south eastwards for a distance of 7.2m; (c) the north west side, its whole length;

YEW TREE ROAD, Beckenham (a) both sides, from the north western extremity of Yew Tree Road south eastwards for a distance of 5.3m; (b) the north west side, its whole length.

No Waiting between 10.00 am to noon on Mondays to Fridays inclusive:-

Any area of public highway in any length of road within the Controlled Parking Zone not covered by waiting restrictions operating at any time.

PERMIT HOLDERS ONLY PARKING BAYS

Permit holders 'Z3' parking between 10.00am to noon on Mondays to Fridays, except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays. Permits £50 per annum per vehicle and £45 per booklet of 15 visitor vouch­ers, each valid for parking one day per vehicle:-

ACACIA ROAD, Beckenham (a) the north east side, from a point 6.5m south east of the north western extremity of Acacia Road to a point 15m north west of the north western kerb line of Croydon Road (b) the south west side, from a point 6.5m south east of the north western extremity Acacia Road south westwards for a distance of 61.8m.

GOWLAND PLACE, Beckenham (a) the north east side, from a point 6.7m south east of the north western extremity to a point 4.9m north west of the common boundary of Nos 30 and 31 Gowland Place (b) south west side, from a point 7.2m south east of the north western extremity, to a point 13.2m southeast of the south eastern boundary of No.1 Gowland Place.

YEW TREE ROAD, Beckenham (a) the north east side, (i) from a point 10.4m south east of of the common boundary of Nos. 17 and 18 Yew Tree Road, north westwards for a distance of 60.8m. (ii) from a point 5.3m south east of the north western extremity of Yew Tree Road south eastwards for a distance of 5m; (b) the south west side, partial footway parking with two wheels on the footway, from a point 5.3m south east of the north western extremity of Yew Tree Road south eastwards for a distance of 75.2m.

PAY BY PHONE PARKING BAYS

Pay by Phone parking £2.40 all day parking between 10.00am to noon on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays:-

ACACIA ROAD, Beckenham (a) the north east side, from a point 10m north west of the north western kerb line of Croydon Road north westwards for a distance of 5m.

GOWLAND PLACE, Beckenham (a) the southwest side, from a point 18.2m south east of the south-eastern boundary of No. 1 Gowland Place, north westwards for a distance of 5m. YEWTREE ROAD, Beckenham, (a) the north east side, from a point 10.4m south east of the common boundary of Nos. 17 and 18 Yew Tree Road south eastwards for a distance of 5m.

PARKING PERMIT ELIGIBILITY

ACACIA ROAD, Beckenham all properties

CROYDON ROAD, Beckenham the north west side, even numbers only, Nos. 280 to 324 inclusive

GOWLAND PLACE, Beckenham all properties

YEWTREE CLOSE, Beckenham all properties
