LINDSAY ROAD PROJECT, POOLE - FIBRE INSTALLATION WORKS

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHERE, WHAT & WHEN:

- No Right-Turn from the eastern junction of Western Road onto The Avenue

The Avenue - closed in a northbound direction to all vehicles from the junction of Western Road to its junction with County Gates Gyratory

The Avenue closed in a southbound direction to all vehicles from County Gates Gyratory to the junction with Western Road

- Phased directional closures between Monday 6 March and Friday 31 March 2023

WHERE, WHAT & WHEN:

- Burton Road - road closed to all vehicles at its junction with Lindsay Road Monday 27 March up to and including Friday 31 March 2023

WHERE, WHAT & WHEN:

- Shared Footway/Cycleway closed to all pedestrians/cyclists from the County Gates Gyratory along Lindsay Road to the junction with Burton Road Monday 6 March up to and including Friday 31 March 2023

Please note: the directional road closures will not be at the same time; this schedule of works is on a rolling road/phased basis. Residents will be informed by letter with details of the works by CltyFlbre.

WHY: For safety whilst installation of fibre duct cabling is undertaken under to two-way temporary signals on Lindsay Road by CityFibre.

ACCESS: Full Emergency Service access will be maintained.

DIVERSION:

Northbound - Alumhurst Road, Seamoor Road

Southbound - Lindsay Road, Leicester Road, Western Road, The Avenue

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.

The Council regrets any inconvenience caused by this Traffic Order.
