What is happening?

BRIGHTON & HOVE CITY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ("the Council") has on 22 February 2023 made the Orders named below under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into operation on 27 February 2023 will introduce various changes to the Disabled Badge Holders Parking Places in the parts of the roads identified:-

BRIGHTON & HOVE VARIOUS CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2018

AMENDMENT ORDER NO.3 2023 (REF: TRO-29A-2022)

New Disabled Badge Holders Parking Places:-

At Any Time:- Albion Street, St Johns Place (Brighton) & Windmill Street (Zone C), Dover Road (Zone F), Queensway (Zone I), Warleigh Road (Zone J), Kingsway (Zone L), St Aubyns (Zone N), Palmeira Avenue (Zone O), York Villas (Zone Q), Rutland Gardens (Zone R), Bembridge Street, Bonchurch Road & May Road (Zone S), Kimberley Road (Zone U) & Bentham Road & Southover Street (Zone V)

Removal of Disabled Badge Holders Parking Places:-

39 Maldon Road (Zone E), 48 Crescent Road (Zone J) & 92 Dewe Road (Zone U)

Modifications

Some changes to the order as originally proposed and advertised on 26 August 2022 are as follows:-Brighton & Hove Outer Various Controlled Parking Zones Consolidation Order 2018 Amendment Order No.3 2023

- Proposed Disabled Bay in Hanover Street -This has been withdrawn from the order

- Proposed removal of Disabled Bay in Windmill Street - This has been withdrawn from the order.

- Proposed removal of Disabled Bay in Glynde Road - This has been withdrawn from the order.

A copy of this Notice, the Orders as made and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Orders may be seen online at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/current-tros.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
