What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 23

THE BARNET FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS

(AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Barnet in exercise of powers conferred by Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intends to install a new Puffin pedestrian crossing outside Frith Manor school on Lullington Garth N12. As a result of these measures being introduced the existing Zebra Crossing outside Frith Manor School, Lullington Garth would be removed.

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to provide to improve sight lines, reduce obstruction, improve traffic flow and general road safety in the vicinity of the proposed Puffin Crossing mentioned above, existing lengths of waiting restrictions operating 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday situated outside and opposite Frith Manor School at Lullington Garth would be upgraded to operate 'at any time'.

A copy of the proposed Orders, associated plans of the relevant area and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing traffic. consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 7th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW, quoting reference: SCR511 - BC-002250-29.
