What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

THE BARNET (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO. **) TRAFFIC ORDER 20**

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 90A

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Section 84 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

As part of a variety of measures proposed to address vehicular conflicts, concerns about speeding, and improve general road safety in the Chessington Avenue/Chalgrove Gardens N3 area, the general effect of the Orders would be to:

1. Introduce a maximum speed limit of 20mph in the streets or length of streets specified below:

(a) Allandale Avenue N3 (e) Fairholme Close N3

(b) Chalgrove Gardens N3 (f) Halsemere Gardens N3

(c) Chessington Avenue N3 (g) Kinloss Gardens N3

(d) Fairholme Gardens N3

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Barnet in exercise of powers conferred by Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 proposes to introduce a number of road humps on street as specified in the schedule to this notice.

A copy of the proposed Order, associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing traffic.consultations@barnet.gov.uk or telephoning the Design Team on 020 8359 3555 or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 7th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Order should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number BC/002250-37- SCR508, to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 7th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via email to traffic.consultations@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
