TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE OAK LANE FOOTWAY, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the Oak Lane Footway, Ipswich to facilitate electrical works. Other coordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Oak Lane, Hatton Court, Tavern Street, Northgate Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/02/2023 - 25/02/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7329 THURSTON ROAD AND U7331 VARIOUS ROADS, HAWKEDON, BOXTED AND GLEMSFORD Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the;

• U7329 Thurston Road, Hawkedon

• U7331 Fenstead End, Boxted

• U7331 Glemsford Road, Boxted, and

• U7331 Fern Hill, Glemsford from Glemsford Road to Braggons Hill.

This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Hall Lane, Thurston Lane, Plough Hill, Hawkedon Road, Road from the C676 to the C675 and the C677, Road Southeast from the C68l, Lower Street, Somerton Road, the B1066, Tittle Hall Lane, New Road, Braggons Hill Boxted, Braggons Hill Glemsford, Fern Hill and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 06/03/2023 - 10/03/2023 with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C765 WESTGATE STREET, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C765 Westgate Street, Bury St Edmunds in the following phases:

1. from Crown Street to Bridewell Lane, and

2. from Crown Street to Maynewater Lane.

This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

• Westbound: the A1302, Southgate Street, Maynewater Lane, Westgate Street and no vice versa

• Eastbound: Crown Street, Honey Hill, Sparhawk Street, Southgate Street, the A1302 and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate in the following phases:

1. 06/03/2023 -13/03/2023 from 6pm - 6am

2. 13/03/2023 -15/03/2023 from 6pm - 6am.

But, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C663 Station Road, Little Saxham from the access to the Business Park to Bridleway 1, Little Saxham to facilitate the installation of new drainage infrastructure. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bury Road, Westley Road, the A1302, the A14, South Street, Road from the A14 to the C629 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 06/03/2023 - 31/03/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE F7685 WOODLANDS RISE UNASSOCIATED FOOTWAY, BRANDON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the F7685 Woodlands Rise Unassociated Footway, Brandon from no. 16 for 10 metres westbound to facilitate repairs to a water supply pipe. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Woodlands Rise Unassociated Footway, Woodlands Rise and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 06/03/2023 - 08/03/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C676, C659 AND A143 VARIOUS ROADS, DENSTON, WICKHAMBROOK, STRADISHALL AND WICKHAM STREET

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. the C676 Wickham Street Road southbound, Denston

2. the C659 Church Road northbound, Wickhambrook and the C659 The Duddery northbound, Wickhambrook.

This is to facilitate drainage works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. the A143, the B1063, Cemetery Road, Coltsfoot Green and vice versa

2. Lower Green, Plough Hill, Lower Street, High Street, Clare Road Stansfield, Stansfield Road, The Street, Clare Road Poslingford, the B1D63, the A143 and vice versa.

From 06/03/2023 - 21/04/2023, there will be a 30mph speed restriction on the:

• A143 Bury Road, Stradishall from Water Lane to Bury Road Wickham Street

• A143 Bury Road, Wickham Street, and

• A143 Bury Road, Wickhambrook from Bury Road, Wickham Street to Giffords Lane.

It is intended that the closure will operate in the following phases:

1. 06/03/2023-12/04/2023

2. 20/03/2023 -12/04/2023.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the;

• C660 Dalham Road, Ousden from Jillings Farm to Denham Road, Dalham

• C660 Denham Road, Dalham from Dalham road, Ousden to the Road from the C659 to the B1085, St Edmundsbury, and

• C660 Road from the C659 to the B1085, St Edmundsbury from Denham Road, Dalham to Barrow Road, St Edmundsbury.

This is to facilitate safe access and egress from site. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 06/03/2023 - 05709/2024 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

• U1522 Clay Common Lane, Uggeshall from the junction with the road from the C390 to the U1522 for 30 metres westbound and 70 metres eastbound

• U1515 road from the C390 to the U1522, Uggeshall from the junction with Clay Common Lane for 20 metres southbound

This is to facilitate access to an overhead network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Clay Common Lane, Clay Common, Uggeshall Road, the A12, Wangford Road, Clay Common Lane and vice versa.

On 22/02/2023 Suffolk County Council made the above order under Sections 1,2 and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which substitutes revision 1 of Map Tiles EB63 and EC63 in place of revision 0 of the same Map Tiles and revision 2 of Map Tiles EB62 and EC62 in place of revision 1 of the same Map Tiles, as amended. The effect of which is to amend various parking restrictions on various roads in Bury St Edmunds Permit Parking Zone D, as follows:

• on Churchgate Street, the two existing permit parking bays outside nos. 9 - 1f and 50 will be extended and changed to become permit parking only

• on Whiting Street, the existing peimit parking bay opposite no. 67 will be shortened by 4 metres, and the two existing permit parking bays outside nos. 43 - 45 and 60 will be extended

• on College Street, the three existing permit parking bays outside nos. 62 - 63,20 and 40 will be extended

• on Bridewell Lane, a new permit parking bay is proposed opposite no. 2

• on Westgate Street, three existing permit parking bays outside nos. 8,18 and 23 will be extended, and the existing School "Keep Clear" markings will be reduced to the maximum length of 25.56 metres. Furthermore, the existing single yellow lines (No Waiting 8am - 6pm daily) on the northern side of the road between its junctions with Whiting Street and Bridewell Lane will be changed to 'No Waiting at Any Time'

• on Friars Lane, two new permit parking bays are proposed on the eastern side of the road, south of the entrance to Friars Lane car park. 'No Waiting at Any Time' restrictions are also proposed opposite both accesses to Friars Lane car park, and

• all permit parking bays within Zone D will now operate from 8am - 8pm.

Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload; for building, industrial or demolition works; for the maintenance of the road or Its services; and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for Blue Badge holders. A copy of the order and a map showing the length of road affected, which comes into effect on 24/02/2023, may be seen with advance notice at the address below 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Bury St Edmunds Library, 2B St Andrew's Street North, Bury St Edmunds IP33 1TZ, 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 8.30am - 7.30pm Tuesday and Friday; 8.30am - 5pm Saturday; and 10am-4pm Sunday.

If anyone wishes to question the validity of the order or of anyprovision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road TrafficKegulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any of the requirements of that Act or any instrument made under it have not been complied with in relation to the order, they may within six weeks of the date on which the order was made apply to the High Court for this purpose.
