What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL 

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTIONS 123(1), (2A) LAND AT CROSS LANE AND VAREY STREET, GORTON AND ABBEY HEY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Manchester City Council intends to dispose of the following areas of land consisting of open space to Southway Housing Trust, a registered provider for affordable housing, in order to facilitate the development of residential units: i) land at Cross Lane, Gorton and Abbey Hey, measuring approximately 0.29 acres; and ii) land at Varey Street, Gorton and Abbey Hey, measuring approximately 0.16 acres.

The areas of land described above are more particularly shown edged red on the deposited plans, which may be inspected at the Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA, between the hours of 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. 

Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested via email at phlegal@ manchester.gov.uk or the postal address below. Objections to the intended disposals must be made in writing and addressed to me via the above email address or, alternatively, the postal address below so as to be received no later than 29 March 2023.
