Shropshire - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions To Allow Necessary Works To Be Undertaken

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S -
PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING

NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“The Council”) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated
below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing
the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.
The Order/s came into force on 6th March 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below

Description of restriction Traffic will be prohibited from using A4117 Clee Hill to Hopton Bank
Date & Duration 6th March 2023 for 6 days between 09:30 and 16:00
Purpose Renew All Lining and Road Studs

Description of restriction Traffic will be prohibited from using B4379 Shrewsbury Road, Oswestry
Date & Duration 6th March 2023 for 2 days
Purpose Remedial works in connection with Mile End Island

Description of restriction Traffic will be prohibited from using B4368 at Shipton Bridge
Date & Duration 6th March 2023 for 5 days between 09:30 and 16:00
Purpose Work to Include:- Take down and rebuild damaged parapet wall.

Description of restriction Traffic will be prohibited from travelling at more than 40mph and 30mph as signed on the A41 Albrighton bypass, Albrighton. At the same time there will be a temporary prohibition of parking on Station
road, Albrighton
Date & Duration 12th March 2023 for 14 days
Purpose Safety of workforce whilst works taking place and to allow safe setting up of traffic management.
