PUBLIC NOTICE

LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES)

CONSOLIDATION AMENDMENT ORDER NO 1 ORDER 2023

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley propose to make the above mentioned Order under Section 35 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other powers enabling them

2. The general effect of the Order would be to amend the London Borough of Bromley (Off Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2008 ("the 2008 Order") so as to implement the following: -

Amendment to Part II 6 (2) - The Charge referred to in Paragraph (I) of this Article shall in the case of the Methods of payments for Pay and Display parking places be amended to read as follows: -

(1) Methods (a) to (e) shall be suspended and replaced by payment by the cashless parking system for all methods of payment

(2) Reference to Parking Ticket throughout the Order of 2008 shall be deleted and replaced by "Payment by the Council's nominated Automated System"

(3) If In the future the Council decides to reinstate the pay and display machines in a limited number of Parking Places, then the relevant methods of Payment and parking tickets as set out in the Order of 2008 shall be re-instated for those Parking Places

3. A copy of the proposed Order, of the 2008 Order and the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be made available by enquiring at Parking Services - www.bromley.gov.uk/parkingenquiries

4. Persons wishing to object to the proposed Order should visit www. bromley.gov.uk/parkingenquiries before 21 st March 2023 and submit their statement of objection using the specific online form.

5. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that under the provisions of the relevant legislation any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.
