PERMANENT MAKING OF EXPERIMENTAL PROVISIONS FROM

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM (PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE ZONES) (VARIOUS ROADS) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in exercise of its powers under Sections 6 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter called "the Act") and all other enabling legislation and powers and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act made the above Order, the effect of which will be to continue indefinitely provisions of the experimental traffic order listed in the heading to this Notice, which by way of an experiment;

Introduced Pedestrian and Cycle Zones No Motor Vehicles Mon-Fri 8.00-9.15am and 2.45-4.00pm Except for School Street Permit Holders, at the following locations:

1. St Georges Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Westfield Road to its junction with Beverley Road.

2. St Georges Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Beverley Road to its junction with Halbutt Street.

3. Rockwell Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Pondfield Road to its junction with Hunters Hall Road.

4. Alibon Road, Dagenham, both sides at the following locations:

a. From its junction with Wantz Road to its junction with Hunters Hall Road.

b. From its junction with Hunters Hall Road to its junction with Croppath Road.

c. From its junction with Croppath Road to its junction with Sterry Road.

5. Alibon Gardens, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Alibon Road for its entire length.

6. Shortcrofts Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Meadow Road to its junction with Ayloffe Road.

7. Spurling Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its southern junction with Ivyhouse Road to its junction with Parsloes Avenue.

8. Keppel Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Wood Lane to its junction with Cornwallis Road.

9. Verney Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Wood Lane to its junction with Cornwallis Road.

10. Fanshawe Crescent, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Springpond Road to its junction with Pasture Road.

A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 23 February 2023, and the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Order are available to view for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published on the Councils website by visiting the following web page https://www.lbbd.gov.uk/parking/parking-area and selecting 'New and proposed traffic and parking schemes'.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any Regulations under it have not been complied with may do so within six weeks of the made date of the Order by applying to the High Court.
