What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) and 14(7)
PART OF SANDY LANE BRAMLEY ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT RESTRICTION)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily
suspend part of The Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Speed Derestriction) Order 1995
and to reduce from 60 miles per hour to 40 miles per hour the speed limit for motor vehicles travelling along that
part of Sandy Lane from its junction with Cumwell Lane for a distance of approximately 560m in a westerly
direction to the existing speed limit signs from Tuesday 28th. February until Sunday 31st. December 2023.
The reason for the speed limit order is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near
the road (Safety of site personnel).
