Catcliffe, Rotherham - temporary prohibition of pedestrians
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.8 CATCLIFFE ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than
seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be
to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath No.8
Catcliffe commencing from Poplar Way and proceeding in a southerly direction for a
distance of 290m from Saturday 4th. March until Sunday 6th. August 2023 for a period
of 6 months.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians affected by the
Order will be via the footways adjacent to adopted highways.
Reason for the prohibition – because works are being or are proposed to be
executed on or near the footpath (Housing development).
