(TOWN END FARM AREA (PN623)) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023
Sunderland City Council gives notice that it intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all vehicular, pedestrian, horse and cycle traffic from those roads, footpaths and footways listed in the schedule below. The Order is required to allow the excavation and installation of a fibre media cable. The order will come into force on 13th March 2023. The maximum duration of the closure under the Order will be six months, it is estimated that the works will take the full six month. However, it is anticipated that each section of road will be closed on just one occasion and for a maximum of seven days. During the closures all vehicles, pedestrians, horses and cycles will be prohibited from the roads and footways detailed in the Schedule below and from any footpath connecting to any highway or footway detailed in the Schedule (except for vehicles and personnel involved in the works), until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. An alternative route will be provided and pedestrian access to properties will be maintained throughout.
