Wiltshire, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Maintenance Works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C68 (Part), Sherston; from its junction with B4040 to its junction with C94 to enable Wessex Water to carry out repairs and relining of failing sewers. Alternative route via C68 (unaffected length) -Foxley Road - C27 - B4040 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 March 2023 and the closure will be required until 24 March 2023. B) Church Lane (Part), Mildenhall; from outside property known as The Glebe House, Church Lane for a distance of approximately 90m in a northerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out installing a new supply and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 13 March 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 23:59 until 24 March 2023. C) C89 (Part), Brokenborough; from outside its property known as Brokenborough Farmhouse to outside property known as Bakers House.

D) Church Lane, Brokenborough; from its junction with C89 for its entire length.

E) Fosse Road (Part), Brokenborough; from the entrance to its property known as Driftwood for a distance of approximately 215m in a westerly direction to enable Bristol Water to carry out excavation of trial holes to prepare scheme for renovation of old water main. Alternative route C via C89 (unaffected length) - B4014 -C68 - B4040 - C89 (unaffected length) and vice versa. No alternative routes for closures D and E. F) Manor Lane (Part), Manningford; from its junction with A345 for a distance of approximately 55m in a north westerly direction.

G) Wick Lane (Part), Manningford; from its junction with A345 for a distance of approximately 5m in a northerly direction to enable an Openreach engineer to safely work in underground structure and associated works. Alternative route F via Manor Lane (unaffected length) - Hen Lane - Sharcott Drove - A345 and vice versa. No alternative route for G. H) C179 (Part), Yatton Keynell; from its property known as Ivy Farm for a distance of approximately 90m in a north easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out repair of mains leak. Alternative route via C179 (unaffected length) - C86 - A420 - C164 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 March 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. I) C414 (Part), Purton; from its junction with Play Close for a distance of approximately 100m in an easterly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to excavate a jointbay in the footway for a new electricity connection and associated works. Alternative route via C414 (unaffected length) - B4553 - B4040 - B4696 - B4042 - C414 (unaffected length) and vice versa. J) C226 (Part), Seend; from its junction with Perrys Lane for a distance of approximately 190m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out safe access to underground structure for cabling and ducting and associated works. Alternative route via C226 (unaffected length) - C20 - A361 - C226 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 23 February 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. K) Chelworth Road, Cricklade; from its junction with C70 its junction with The Fiddle to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out excavations to install new electricity supply and other associated works. Alternative route via The Forty - B4553 - C70 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 February 2023 and the closure will be required until 02 March 2023. L) C151 (Part), North Wraxall; from its junction with A420 for a distance of approximately 140m in a south westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out highway drainage works and other associated works. Alternative route A via C151 (unaffected length) -Doncombe Lane - C71 - A420 and vice versa. Alternative route B via A420 - C164 - C179 - Ford C151 south east to junction C179 south of Toplands Farm and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 24 October 2022 will now recommence on 24 February 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 on weekdays only until 27 February 2023. Orders A) to K) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order L) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Footpath 1 (Part), Marston Meysey; from its junction with The Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction to enable repairs and maintenance to existing Environment Agency boreholes.

Alternative route via existing alternative rights of way and highways. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 13 March 2023 and the closure will be required until 31 March 2023. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 06 months.
