(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 09346363) has made an Order on the M65 Motorway, in the Borough of Burnley, in the County of Lancashire, to enable resurfacing and lighting works, replacement of barriers, fencing and road signs, drainage repairs, earthworks, and other general maintenance; to be carried out in safety.The Order will ban traffic from the M65 J8 westbound to A56 southbound link road for its full length.
The prohibition is expected to be in place during continuous weekend periods starting at:-21:00 on Friday 24 February 2023 and ending at 06:00 on Monday 27 February 2023; 21:00 on Friday 3 March 2023 and ending at
06:00 on Monday 6 March 2023;
21:00 on Friday 10 March 2023 and ending at
06:00 on Monday 13 March 2023;
21:00 on Friday 17 March 2023 and ending at
06:00 on Monday 20 March 2023.
These weekend closures will be subject to advanced signage.
However, works may start and continue during subsequent continuous weekend periods or until completed.
Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the M65 Motorway, and local roads will be well signed.
The prohibition will not apply to emergency services, works, winter maintenance, or traffic officer vehicles, and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs. The Order comes into force on 19 February 2023 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months. For further information, contact sam.smith@nationalhighways.co.uk
