Tachbrook Road - Temporary Traffic to Allow for Works Taking Place on or Near the Road

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING

NOTICE OF INTENT TO CREATE A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS
AFFECTING: TACHBROOK ROAD, SOUTHALL.

Ealing Council intends to make the following temporary traffic order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 3764 Tachbrook Road, Southall - 2023.

Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve Cadent Gas making a new gas connection to number 22 Tachbrook Road, Southall.

Effect of order
1. Tachbrook Road will be closed outside property number 22.
2. Waiting, loading and unloading restrictions will be applied on Tachbrook Road between properties 20 to 28 & 17 to 25.
3. From 13th March 2023 until 17th March 2023, the waiting, loading or unloading restrictions will apply at the locations specified in this order and will be enforced with the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice.
4. These restrictions and prohibitions will apply at the specified locations where appropriate “no-waiting cones” are placed along the length of the affected public highway.
5. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles must comply with any traffic management measures.
6. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect from 13th March 2023:
(a) No entry into the fully closed section of Tachbrook Road;
(b) No waiting, loading or unloading on either side of the carriageway within the fully closed section.

7. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.

8. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.

9. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO);
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

Date order will come into force 13th March 2023

Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 12th September 2024 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 17th March 2023, whichever is sooner.
