M5 Motorway - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic to Enable Cable and Associated Maintenance Works

THE M5 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 18A TO 18) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) has made an Order on the M5 Motorway in Bristol to enable cable and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to take place over one night (20.00 to 06.00) on or after 25 February 2023.

The effect of the Order will be to authorise the closure of the M5 southbound from Junction 18A to Junction 18 and the northbound entry slip road at Junction 18A.

There will also be hard shoulder running throughout the works.

During the closures traffic will be diverted via Junctions of the M5 and local roads.

The closures (which will not apply to emergency services and works vehicles), and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works period and will only apply when traffic management measures are in place.

The Order will come into force on 23 February 2023 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
